Clients choose Fish to assist with resolving a wide range of business disputes. Our litigators have a record of obtaining excellent results in federal and state courts across the country. We can deliver the benefits of our nationwide experience, and familiarity with local courts and practice. In addition to having an excellent track record in patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret litigation, our litigation practice includes lawyers with jury trial experience in a wide range of commercial cases, including employment discrimination, sexual harassment, white collar criminal defense, antitrust, unfair competition, employment, qui tam, insurance coverage disputes, and class action cases. We have substantial experience in internal corporate and government investigations.

  • a software licensing dispute over use of proprietary software, where, during arbitration, we obtained a judgment that defendant breached the licensing contract and we were awarded full damages and permanent injunction;
  • a soon-to-be concluded favorable settlement of contract dispute, where one party brought a breach action against the other for nonpayment of goods;
  • a technology license dispute between Dreamworks SKG and AMD;
  • a number of significant suits against a telephone company on behalf of municipalities for breach of franchise contracts;
  • a breach of contract suit over a merger agreement, which, on appeal after a favorable verdict, settled for $35,000,000 payment to our client;
