Practical tips to maximize your chances of success at not only the PTAB, but also on appeal, and share tips on how to set yourself up for the best ultimate result will also be provided.

On Thursday, June 16, Principal Tracy Hitt will moderate the panel “KnowledgeBridge: Developments in International Patent Prosecution.” This session will explore various aspects of international patent prosecution, including trends in international filings, the creation of the Unified Patent Court in Europe, and creative approaches to increasing your international reach on a budget. As part of this session, discussion on how to best approach the international stage (e.g., Filing PCT first, Filing PCT after priority filing, or filing direct foreign applications), and personal experiences with different international prosecution options (e.g., Art. 19/34submissions vs. ISR responses filed at national stage entry vs. entering national stage without a response to the ISR) will be explored. An additional key point will be discussing ideas for balancing your international portfolio, coordinating strategy among jurisdictions, and some pitfalls to watch out for in the context of international prosecution.
