Dale Shaw (Deputy Director of Stakeholder Outreach and the Patents Ombudsman Program at the USPTO)will present live from the Fish & Richardson's DC Office

THE PATENTS OMBUDSMAN PROGRAM: When there is a breakdown in the normal process of a patent application before, during or after examination, the Patents Ombudsman Program provides applicants assistance in getting their applications back on track. The calls and e-mails that the USPTO receives are one way in which they get feedback on USPTO practices and procedures. This information is used to spot trends and make recommendations for training. During this presentation, speaker, Dale Shaw, will highlight the breadth of the Patent Ombudsman Program's services to increase awareness of the program and will discuss the most frequent issues and provide tips to practitioners on ways to either avoid these issues or to work through them.
