Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA) Tenth Annual Intellectual Property Law Institute (IPLI)

Fish is proud to sponsor the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA) and the association’s Vision in Action Fund, its charitable arm initiative, in its tenth annual Intellectual Property Law Institute (IPLI) program in Washington D.C. June 5 - 10, 2022.

Principal Riqui Bonilla will host "Intro to FTC" and Intro to Cryptocurrency and NFTS" on Friday, June 10, 2022 at the program. Fish mentors Tim Rawson, Joao Costa, Josh Rosefelt and Ahmed Davis will also be in attendance.

The IPLI’s main goal remains to increase the number of Hispanic lawyers practicing intellectual property law (currently at <2%) and tech law in the U.S. Launched in 2013, the IPLI’s targeted and effective approaches have resulted in over 230 scholars completing the program, with a majority of the scholars currently working as IP and technology attorneys. Admission to the program is highly competitive. Up to thirty rising 2L and 3L Hispanic law students are selected to participate each year from applicants across the country. During the week-long program, the scholars engage in robust learning experiences and connect with lawyers, judges, regulators, and legislators at the CAFC, USPTO, Copyright Office, FTC, and ITC. Scholars also receive mentoring throughout the year.
