University of Akron's 18th Annual Symposium on Intellectual Property Law and Policy
This year’s symposium features a review of recent developments in the areas of patent, copyright and trademark law. Additional talks will focus on best practices for maintaining trade secret protection, the Global Dossier Initiative, and the European Unified Patent Court. The program also includes a panel discussion on responding to patent, copyright, and trademark trolls, and a discussion of ethical issues in the practice of IP law.
The Honorable Evan Wallach of the Federal Circuit will provide the featured luncheon address. Other speakers include noted USPTO officials, practitioners, and academics who are experts in various areas of intellectual property law and practice.
Fish principal John Pegram will be speaking about the Unified Patent Court at this event.
