University of Pennsylvania Law School's 22nd Annual Sadie T.M. Alexander Commemorative Conference
This will be the sixth year that Fish will sponsor this event by attending both the Conference Career Fair and hosting a table at the gala dinner. The Black Law Student Association of the University of Pennsylvania Law School annually hosts a conference commemorating the life and works of Dr. Sadie T. M. Alexander. Dr. Alexander was both the daughter of the first African American graduate of the Law School (Aaron Mossell) and the first African American female graduate of the Law School (L’27). Following her graduation, she used her extensive education in both economics (Ph.D) and law to make remarkable advances in civil rights for minorities in the region.
This year’s conference, themed “Making Your Mark: Emerging As Leaders in Troubled Times”, begins with a career fair Saturday morning followed by several panel discussions. The Conference concludes with a cocktail reception and banquet dinner commemorating the legacy of Dr. Alexander on Saturday evening.
