More than half of all veterans struggle to find work after leaving the military. Numerous federal statutes recognize the struggles veterans face in transitioning to the civilian workforce. The problem is particularly acute for those who have been involved in combat operations and are more likely to face more severe challenges. Yet a veteran background can bring so much to the practice of law and particularly to intellectual property law. Veterans are more likely to have technical backgrounds with real-world experience, they're used to operating in team environments, and they represent some of the most diverse workforces in America. In this webinar, our panelists will share their veteran backgrounds as IP practitioners and how they made the transition into the practice of law. Additionally, they will discuss how veterans represent an untapped resource for companies and lawyers and offer insight on how to find elite talent in the veteran community.
