On June 19, 2014, the Supreme Court issued its decision in Alice Corp v. CLS Bank. This landmark decision called into question the patent-eligibility of many computer-implemented innovations (CIIs). Two and a half years later, we are taking a look back and examining the evolving Federal Circuit case law applying Alice, as well as the USPTO’s handling of Alice in examination.
