Fish & Richardson’s Mike McKeon recently spoke to Law360 and discussed his advice for new partners. “I mentor many new principals who work with me on the high stakes, complex IP litigations that I handle. These cases are always very contentious. The other side is out for blood — looking for the slightest slip-up so they can go for the jugular. The rapid fire deadlines, client demands and stress levels are often through the roof. How do you survive it all and stay on your game? One word: attitude. A positive attitude is infectious and will motivate your team. It can disarm your opponent. It gives confidence to your client. And it will get noticed in the courtroom. It may sound like a cliche, but a positive attitude really works.”
