First New "Internationalized" gTLDs Delegated

On October 23, 2013, ICANN announced the official delegation of the first four new gTLDs:

  • شبكة  – Arabic for “web/network”
  • онлайн – Cyrillic for “online”
  • сайт‚ – Cyrillic for “site”
  • 游戏ˆ – Chinese for “game(s)”

It also appears that the following additional new gTLDs will be delegated and sunrise registration may soon begin: camera; clothing; lighting; bike; guru; holdings; singles; estate; equipment; ventures; and voyage.
