Karl Renner, Principal and Post-Grant Practice Co-Chair was quoted in Managing Intellectual Property Magazine's article “SCOTUS Abolishes PTAB Practice Of Partial Claim Review.”
Karl Renner, says: “It’s less the ground or claim, and more the way parties support the grounds they’re bringing in. There is a body of case law out there that helps us figure out what the PTAB will accept.” He identifies non-patent prior art and amendments as two areas that have developed significantly in terms of the PTAB's stance.
