Principal Tim Riffe was quoted in the Law360 article “PTAB’s Skyrocketing Petition Rate Starts to Stabilize” to discuss how patent litigation targets continued to flock to the PTAB in 2015, but the growth of petitions filed has slowed.
“Even if the growth of AIA petitions is flattening out, the PTAB will continue to play a role in patent litigation, particularly since petitioners are relatively likely to obtain a stay in patent litigation after challenging a patent-in-suit at the board, among many other significant benefits for petitioners.”
