Fish & Richardson Names Two New Principals in Boston

Boston, MA, January 19, 2011 - Fish & Richardson has named Thomas Brown and Michael Hamlin as principals in the firm's Boston office, effective January 1, 2011. Overall, 16 attorneys were elevated to principal across the firm's 11 offices.

Thomas Brown will continue to focus his practice on patent litigation and prosecution in the area of computer science as a principal in the firm's IP Litigation Group. He received his J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 2003, and his B.S., magna cum laude, in computer science and political science from Yale University in 1998.

Michael Hamlin will continue to focus his practice on patent prosecution in the areas of medical devices and mechanical engineering as a principal in the firm's Patent Group. He has also been appointed recruiting principal for the Boston office. Mr. Hamlin received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 2003 and his B.S. in engineering from the University of Alabama at Huntsville in 2000.
