Fish's Atlanta Office Principals Christopher Green and Thad Kodish Support Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation (AVLF)
Fish & Richardson is proud of the outstanding pro bono efforts of our attorneys. Principal Christopher Green was recently recognized by his client for his work in conjunction with the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation (AVLF). Green is noted for his "unbelievable patience and empathy" in the AVLF story "Lighthouse in the Storm." Green is deeply committed to making the community a better place and was named a 2019 Volunteer of the Year by the AVLF's Safe Families office for his work assisting families who are suffering incidents of domestic violence.
Atlanta Office Managing Principal Thad Kodish was also recognized for his contributions to AVLF and was named "Volunteer of the Month for October." AVLF noted that "Thad has been a loyal volunteer in Temporary Protective Order cases in recent years, but really stepped up in a whole new way during the COVID-19 pandemic. He jumped in without hesitation in several cases during this time of heightened need to help our clients."
AVLF‘s mission is to create safe and stable homes and families by inspiring the fight for equal justice. They are the largest provider of pro bono legal services in Atlanta and use the collective power and resources of their professional community to advocate for their clients in their time of greatest need. Every year, over 5,000 Atlantans receive free, first-rate legal services from AVLF staff and the 500 professionals and students who volunteer with them.
Pro bono work is an integral part of Fish's professional culture, and the firm is dedicated to supporting those in need. Over the past year, nearly 75% of the firm's attorneys have taken part in pro bono projects.
