Beau Mersereau Recognized as "IT Professional of the Year" by International Legal Technology Association (ILTA)

Beau Mersereau, Director of Applications, Development, and Support at Fish & Richardson P.C., won the "IT Professional of the Year" award from the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA). The award was presented at ILTA's annual meeting in Las Vegas last week.

Mersereau was recognized for his work implementing DevOps, enabling Fish's IT teams to automate the deployment of Fish.LKM (litigation knowledge management), a proprietary, first-of-its-kind, hybrid document and case management system. ILTA named Fish.LKM its 2016 Project of the Year. DevOps also enabled automated deployment of Windows 10 and Office 2016 so that employees could run their own upgrades, without the need for intervention from the Fish IT staff.

In addition to Mersereau, Jennifer Beaudette, Senior Manager of IT Project Management and Business Analysis at Fish, was honored by ILTA as a finalist for the Technology Advocacy Professional of the Year award.

"We are proud that our IT team is the very best at what they do," said Loretta Auer, Fish's Chief Information Officer. "Throughout his 20-year career in the legal industry, Beau has established himself as a globally recognized thought leader and expert in information management and legal technology. We are delighted that ILTA has recognized Beau's outstanding professional achievements," Auer added.

The ILTA Distinguished Peer Awards program recognizes firms who have delivered great business value and transformational impact through their innovations and implementations or have been champions in specific areas of focus for their organizations. ILTA promotes the strategic advantages of technology in the legal profession.
