Fish & Richardson Ranked Elite National Tier 1 Intellectual Property Law Firm By U.S. News & World Report

Fish & Richardson has been chosen as an elite "National Tier 1" Intellectual Property Law Firm by U.S. News & World Report in its first ever ranking of "Best Law Firms." Fish also received "Tier 1" Intellectual Property Law rankings in Boston, Minneapolis, and San Diego, and the top tier IP Law rankings in Dallas, New York, Washington, D.C., and Wilmington, DE. The survey was published on September 15, 2010.

All national first-tier firms, including Fish & Richardson, will be featured in the October issue of U.S. News & World Report. The rankings are based on the opinions of Fortune 1000 companies and thousands of leading lawyers.

According to U.S. News & World Report, "Achieving a high ranking is a special distinction that signals a unique combination of excellence and breadth of expertise."

"It is an honor to be singled out as a National Tier 1 Best Law Firm in this inaugural U.S. News & World Report ranking," said Peter J. Devlin, President of Fish & Richardson. "Fish is the absolute best intellectual property law firm in the country and it is gratifying to see that the winning results and quality service we deliver consistently to our clients is reflected in surveys like these."

Last week, Fish was named an "IP Litigation Powerhouse" - one of only three firms that in-house counsel most want to handle their critically important intellectual property litigation - according to a major survey of in-house counsel by BTI Consulting Group. In August 2010, Fish was named the #1 IP Litigation law firm and #2 IP Patent Prosecution law firm in the country in Corporate Counsel magazine's annual survey of "Who Represents America's Biggest Companies," which researches which law firms Fortune 100 corporations used the most.
