USPTO Releases Final Rules for Remaining AIA Provisions Going into Effect on September 16, 2012

Today, August 14, the USPTO published in the Federal Register final rules for the remaining AIA provisions going into effect on September 16, 2012. These entries include the following:

• inter partes review
• post-grant review
• transitional program for covered business method patents
• supplemental examination
• inventor’s oath or declaration
• rules of practice for trials before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board and judicial review of Patent Trial and Appeal Board decisions
• office patent trial practice guide
