Fish Named Top Patent Litigation Firm for Sixth Year in a Row
Boston, MA, September 3, 2009 - IP Law & Business, the leading intellectual property magazine, has for the sixth straight year named the law firm of Fish & Richardson the top patent litigation firm in the country.
IP Law & Business found that Fish handles more patent litigation than any other law firm. The annual survey, which was published in September 2009, ranks firms by the volume of new patent cases filed. Fish was involved in a total of 77 new cases in 2008, 20 more cases than the firm's nearest competitor.
"Every year, we top this prestigious list of the most sought-after patent litigation firms because Fish is the premier, go-to firm for high profile, high-stakes patent litigation," said Peter J. Devlin, President of Fish & Richardson. "Clients trust us to handle their most complex litigation problems because we are the absolute best at what we do. The turbulent economy hasn't changed that. If anything, there is less margin for error - so our clients depend on us to get it right."
In addition to handling 77 new patent litigation cases in 2008, Fish also filed 4,641 new patent applications. On the trademark side, Fish & Richardson filed 533 new trademark applications in 2008. Fish & Richardson represents clients in all fields of technology, including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, clean technology, semiconductors, software, telecommunications, and electronics.
IP Law & Business, which is published by Incisive Media, is a bi-monthly publication written for the intellectual property community.
