Fish & Richardson Announces John Conroy, Ph.D., Rejoins Firm as a Principal in Munich, Germany
Boston/Munich, April 13, 2015 - Fish & Richardson today announced that John Conroy, Ph.D. has rejoined the firm as a Principal in its Munich, Germany office. Dr. Conroy is an American patent lawyer and registered European Patent Attorney who has extensive experience helping clients with IP issues in Europe and the U.S. He rejoins Fish after serving as Managing Counsel, Intellectual Property at Fish client Power Integrations, a publicly traded Silicon Valley-based innovator of high-performance, energy-efficient integrated circuits. Before taking the in-house position, Conroy was a Principal at Fish's Munich office, providing patent prosecution services in the areas of nanotechnology, medical devices, software, electrical, and materials engineering.
Fish opened its Munich office in 2007 and handles a wide range of European IP matters from Munich, including patent prosecution and patent litigation, trademark, design, unfair competition, and antitrust matters.

Dr. Conroy received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2005, his Ph.D. in bioengineering from the University of Utah in 1996, and his B.S.E., cum laude, in biomedical engineering from Duke University in 1990. He worked as a research scientist at the University of Virginia from 1997 to 2000 and as a post-doctoral scientist and Fulbright Scholar at the Universitaet der Bundeswehr in Munich from 1995 to 1997. Dr. Conroy joined Fish as a Technology Specialist in 2001, became an associate in 2005, and was elevated to Principal in 2012. He joined Power Integrations in January 2013.
