Fish & Richardson Firm Members Named 2024 Up & Coming Attorney and Unsung Legal Hero

Minnesota Lawyer has named Fish & Richardson Associate Sarah Jack a 2024 Up & Coming Attorney, an award honoring rising attorneys who have distinguished themselves through professional achievements and community leadership. Additionally, Leading Docketing Trainer Alysha Claflin has been named a 2024 Unsung Legal Hero, a recognition of the most talented and dedicated legal support professionals in Minnesota. 

Sarah Jack represents automotive, chemical, and life sciences industry clients in complex intellectual property disputes in U.S. District Court and in appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Her recent achievements include arguing an appeal before the Federal Circuit that resulted in a favorable outcome for Fish’s client a significant accomplishment for an associate in a venue where most cases are argued by principals. In addition to her litigation practice, Sarah serves on Fish’s litigation associate advisory committee, mentors summer associates and new associates, and maintains an active pro bono practice. 

Alysha Claflin is responsible for training new patent docketers, ensuring experienced docketers stay up to speed on new laws, and incorporating new rules into the firm’s processes. A go-to docketing expert at the firm and an invaluable resource for management, Alysha is known for going above and beyond in improving processes, providing high-quality training, and supporting her colleagues. Her accomplishments include leading the recent update of Fish’s patent and trademark docketing manuals, a significant contribution that has positively impacted countless firm members. 

Award recipients will be honored at Minnesota Lawyer’s annual awards luncheon on September 20, 2024.
