Fish & Richardson Named 2017 General Patent Litigation Firm of the Year, Inter Partes Review Firm of the Year, and IP Boutique Firm of the Year by LMG Life Sciences
Fish & Richardson announced today that it was named 2017 General Patent Litigation Firm of the Year, Inter Partes Review Firm of the Year, and Intellectual Property Boutique Firm of the Year by LMG Life Sciences. The awards recognized the strongest legal work in life sciences over the past year.
Fish handled four of the five named "Patent Impact Cases of the Year," including three major wins for clients GlaxoSmithKline, Gilead, and Coherus.
Fish's Life Sciences group works with large and small companies, along with academic and research institutions, to protect their most valuable innovations. The firm offers biotechnology and pharmaceutical clients a wide range of services, including patent portfolio planning, strategic advice, opinions, and prosecution; litigation services, including representing branded companies in Hatch-Waxman cases; representation in post-grant proceedings including inter partes reviews before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board; FDA expertise; and counsel on licensing and other transactions.
The LMG Life Sciences annual awards recognize the leading attorneys, law firms, and in-house counsel teams that have played a significant role in the life sciences industry over the last 12 months. Winners are chosen based on nearly 1,000 interviews and surveys completed by partners active in the market, interviews with clients and leading lawyers, firm-wide surveys, attorney surveys, and a review of public information. The awards will be featured in a special section of LMG’s October edition of Managing IP Magazine.
