Fish was recently ranked the law firm with the Best Intellectual Property Practice in the 2007 edition of The Vault Guide to the Top 100 Law Firms. The rankings are compiled from a survey of over 16,000 law firm associates.

Fish & Richardson P.C. was recently ranked the law firm with the Best Intellectual Property Practice in the 2007 edition of The Vault Guide to the Top 100 Law Firms. The rankings are compiled from a survey of over 16,000 law firm associates who were asked to rank their peer law firms according to prestige.

Vault also asked associates to rank their own firm on subjects such as satisfaction, hours, compensation, diversity, treatment by partners, and selectivity in hiring. In these categories, Fish & Richardson ranked in the top 10 for Best in Associate Satisfaction (#9) and in the top 20 for Best in Compensation (#16), Best Firms to Work For (#17), Best Associate Partner Relations (#19), and Best in Selectivity (#20).

In July 2006, Fish & Richardson was named the top patent litigation firm in the country by IP Law & Business in its annual survey of firms that handle the most patent cases. Fish & Richardson has ranked number one on the survey for five out of the six years that IP Law & Business has published its survey. Fish & Richardson is also the top firm in patent cases at the International Trade Commission and rates among the top U.S. firms in patents and trademarks obtained.

“It is an honor to be recognized by associates as the law firm with the best IP practice,” said Peter Devlin, President of Fish & Richardson. “Being able to attract and retain the most talented associates in the profession is important to every firm’s growth. These rankings show that we are doing things right.”
