Fish & Richardson Welcomes Elham Dehbozorgi as Chief Legal Risk Officer

Fish & Richardson is pleased to welcome Elham Dehbozorgi as chief legal risk officer. Dehbozorgi has more than 15 years of experience and a background in intellectual property law firm risk management and compliance.

“The chief legal risk officer is a new role at Fish that reflects the evolving landscape of legal operations and our commitment to effective systems, processes, and technology in conflicts and risk management,” said Chief Operating Officer Kristine McKinney. “Elham brings tremendously unique experience, having led transformational change in previous firms. As we embark on significant technological advances, she brings a deep expertise and thoughtful approach. We are thrilled to welcome her and confident that she will be instrumental in ensuring we continue to achieve the highest standards of professional ethics.”

As the chief legal risk officer, Dehbozorgi will focus on improving process and technology alignment across firm operations, enabling the firm’s legal staff to provide even greater service to clients and their in-house legal operations teams. As a member of the firm’s leadership team, Dehbozorgi will also serve as the primary resource for navigating conflicts and risk management situations.

“IP law is an exciting discipline, but inherent in the field are conflicts, risk, and ethical compliance,” said Dehbozorgi. “I’m excited to navigate those matters at Fish and develop forward-thinking solutions so that Fish attorneys can continue to focus on providing the highest degree of legal representation to clients.”

Previously, Dehbozorgi was the general counsel at a Washington-D.C.-based IP law firm. She was recently appointed to the Legal Ethics Committee of the D.C. Bar.

She earned a B.B.A. in international finance and marketing from the University of Miami and a J.D. from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law.
