Fish & Richardson Welcomes Patent and Trade Secret Litigator Katie Prescott to Silicon Valley Office
Fish & Richardson is pleased to announce that Katherine (Katie) Prescott has returned to the firm's Silicon Valley office as of counsel.
Prescott, a patent and trade secret trial lawyer, has a background in civil and environmental engineering, as well as more than 15 years of experience protecting and defending clients in cases involving a wide range of technologies, including software, medical devices, and consumer products for both plaintiffs and defendants. She also has extensive experience leading all aspects of litigation, from pre-suit investigations to appeals, before federal courts nationwide.
She returns to Fish, where she worked from 2001 to 2009, after eight years of expanding her patent litigation practice in private practice and at a top 10 Fortune 500 company, where she led strategy for patent and consumer class action litigations, International Trade Commission investigations, and post-grant proceedings at the Patent Office.

Prescott received her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, her M.S. in civil and environmental engineering from Stanford University, and her B.A in earth and planetary science from Johns Hopkins University.
