Fish Principal Juanita Brooks Named 2013 "Leading Lawyers in America" by Lawdragon
Boston, MA, February 29, 2014 - Fish & Richardson today announced that IP trial attorney Juanita Brooks has been included in Lawdragon's "500 Leading Lawyers in America," an annual guide to the best in the profession.
Juanita Brooks, a principal in Fish's Southern California office, has been first chair on over 150 career trials and manages an average caseload of nearly 30 active patent infringement cases annually. In the past year, Brooks went to trial as lead counsel two times in federal courts across the U.S., handled three high stakes appeals before the Federal Circuit, and successfully settled a sixth matter one month before trial - scoring big victories for her clients in every case. This is a blistering pace in the field of patent litigation, where there are only about 75 trials in the U.S. each year and the complexity of the cases means that discovery can take years. In January 2014, Brooks was named "Litigator of the Year" by The American Lawyer for her impressive wins over the past two years.
Inclusion in Lawdragon's "most elite guide in the legal profession" is based on primarily on editorial research and online voting.
