Fish Client, Microsoft, Honored with Best Legal Department Award

Fish & Richardson is pleased to congratulate our client, Microsoft, on being honored as Corporate Counsel's Best Legal Department 2010.

With a team of over 450 attorneys in 44 countries, Microsoft's Legal Department was chosen not only because of its recent groundbreaking settlement with EU regulators opening the Windows operating system to rival web browsers in Europe, but also due to its commitment to diversity and pro bono work. The department's ability to succeed was particularly important as the department weathered its first budget and staff cuts in company history. Also noted were last year's two precedent-setting, blockbuster patent defense victories on appeal in which Microsoft was represented by Fish & Richardson.
