Philadelphia Business Journal Recognizes Fish & Richardson Principal Nitika Gupta Fiorella in its 2021 "40 Under 40" List
Philadelphia Business Journal has included Nitika Gupta Fiorella in its 2021 "40 Under 40" list. The annual list profiles the region's top young professionals across a broad range of industries, including law, the arts, health care, finance, and entertainment. This year's honorees were selected from a pool of more than 300 nominees.
A principal in Fish's Delaware office, Fiorella's practice focuses on complex patent litigation and combines novel, strategic thinking with a deep understanding of science, technology, and the law to serve a wide range of national clients. Most recently, Fiorella conducted an impressive three Federal Circuit appellate arguments in less than 12 months including, in April 2020, the first-ever Federal Circuit telephonic appellate argument after the Covid-19 pandemic forced court appearances online. The argument resulted in a favorable ruling for her client two days later.
In addition to her work with Fish, Fiorella has completed two prestigious clerkships, first as a law clerk for the Honorable Kent A. Jordan of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and then for the Honorable Chief Judge Sharon Prost of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Beyond her litigation practice, Fiorella is a founding board member of Innocence Delaware (ID), an organization she spent three years helping to create to provide pro bono services to litigate wrongful convictions in the state. She has also served as a board member of the South Asian Bar Association of Delaware for four years.
Philadelphia Business Journal celebrated the 2021 "40 Under 40" honorees at a virtual awards ceremony on May 20, 2021.
