Fish Principal Juanita Brooks Selected by Peers as One of the "Top 250 Women in Litigation" List
Redwood City, CA, June 30, 2013 - Fish & Richardson announced today that Juanita Brooks has beenselected by her peers and clients to appear in the 2nd edition of the Benchmark Top 250 Women in Litigation. The Benchmark Top 250, published by Euromoney, is distributed at the National Association of Women Lawyers Annual Meeting andthe ABA Annual Meeting in San Francisco. The book highlights the achievements of the most active and respected female litigators in the nation, and is drawn from client and peer interviews.
Ms. Brooks has a nationwide trial practice, specializing in complex intellectual property (IP) litigation. She has been first chair on over 150 career trials, and currently manages an average caseload of nearly 30 active patent infringement cases annually. She assisted in drafting the local patent rules for the Southern District of California. Prior to joining Fish to focus on IP matters, Ms. Brooks spent 22 years handling a variety of high profile criminal and civil trials. She received her J.D. from Yale Law School in 1977 and her B.A. from San Diego State University in 1974.
