John Thurston focuses his work on patent, copyright, and trade secret litigation across a wide range of industries, including chemicals, life sciences, software, and defense.
John, having been exposed to nearly all phases of litigation, has experience conducting pre-suit diligence, preparing research memoranda, supporting discovery, and drafting advocacy briefs.
In addition to his legal acumen, John leverages years of technical experience to assist clients. Prior to law school, he worked as an engineer in the aerospace and defense industry, supporting both civilian and military radar programs. During this time, he developed a keen attention to detail and became adept at learning new or unfamiliar technologies and presenting complex technical concepts in easy-to-understand ways.
When he’s not at work, John is probably either running along the Charles River or planning his next big ski trip.
