Overview

Mariam Khan concentrates her litigation practice on helping life sciences and pharmaceutical clients protect and enforce their intellectual property.

Mariam’s legal experience includes researching and drafting legal memoranda, pleadings, and motions. With a background in life sciences, she is comfortable working with pharmaceutical and chemical technologies.

During law school, Mariam served as an editor for The Elder Law Journal, competed as a member of the Moot Court Board, and was a research assistant for Professor Jacob Sherkow. She also drafted patents for the University of Illinois College of Law’s IP Clinic. Mariam summered at Fish & Richardson in 2022 and 2023.

As a laboratory researcher pursuing a degree in chemistry at the University of Houston, Mariam studied data-driven development for LED lighting and helped synthesize inorganic phosphors. Prior to attending law school, Mariam interned for two New York state courts. Mariam’s prior experience also includes researching trademarks and trade secrets matters, as well as employment law.

In her leisure time, Mariam enjoys listening to podcasts, cooking, and taking on new art projects.
