Overview

Sara Fish represents clients in patent and trade secret litigation matters in U.S. District Courts, with experience spanning Texas, California, and Delaware courts, as well as various state superior courts. Her experience includes serving as a key member of the Samsung trial team that obtained the winning defense verdict against Headwater Research in the Eastern District of Texas in January 2025. 

Sara advises and assists clients with all aspects of intellectual property litigation, ranging from pre-suit analysis and pleading through discovery, depositions, expert witnesses, pretrial, and trial. She has helped clients successfully resolve patent and trade secret matters related to a variety of technologies, including smartphone software, telecommunications solutions, wireless networking, semiconductor design, medical devices, agricultural equipment, consumer products, and industrial fasteners. 

She has also worked on patent matters before the International Trade Commission and assisted with patent post-grant matters, such as inter partes reviews, before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.  

Prior to joining Fish & Richardson, Sara clerked for the Honorable M. Cindy Morris in Georgia Superior Court in Dalton, Georgia. Outside of her work at the firm, Sara serves as a committee member for the National Association of Women Lawyers’ Leadership Program.
