Shashank Sharma supports patent prosecution and litigation involving electrical, computer, and other technologies.
Shashank assists in patent prosecution, intellectual property litigation, and trade secret protection matters. He also assists with patentability, invalidity and infringement opinions, and patent portfolio analysis. His experience involves working across different fields of IP: patent litigation, post-grant proceedings, patent prosecution, technology transfer, and IP analytics. This enables him to uniquely support Fish & Richardson's clients through challenging patent-related issues.
Leveraging his impressive technical know-how, Shashank enjoys working at the juncture of engineering, IP, and law and helping Fish clients protect their innovations. His experience extends to embedded systems, computer architecture, memory hierarchy, image and video processing, and semiconductor fabrication.
While pursuing his master’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, Shashank refined his craft as an intern at CMU’s Center for Technology Transfer and Enterprise Creation Office. His experience also includes working for an intellectual property consulting and advisory firm where he participated in IP-based projects executing on inventions involving diverse technologies.
