Overview

Peter (Tae) Hong focuses his practice on patent litigation covering a wide range of technologies across electrical, computing, and energy sectors.

Tae has a technical background in computer science and engineering, including on-the-ground experience as a software engineer. Previously, he co-founded a renewable energy startup, where he was a co-inventor of three patents directed to energy storage technologies. A native Korean speaker, Tae is highly skilled and experienced in English-Korean communication and translation; he served in the South Korean Army as an enlisted English interpreter for a four-star general. During law school, Tae was an editor for the Duke Law & Technology Review, worked for the Start-Up Ventures Clinic, and won Duke’s Transactional Law Competition.

Tae summered at Fish & Richardson in 2021 and 2022. He is a baseball sabermetrics enthusiast and Atlanta Braves fan.
